Italy 2008!

This year we went to Italy for 4 weeks to visit family!! It was Nico's first trip on an airplane and he was soooooo excited! He loved being on the plane and didn't want to get off when we landed...lol He had a great time in Italy! He loved the food, people, sites and spending every minute of everyday with Mommy and Daddy!!

We spent a day in Rome and did an open bus tour which was AMAZING!!! We were able to visit so many places that we have always wanted to see.

Nico keeps asking to go back!!!

Canada Day 2008

This year for Canada Day we spent the morning down at Sunnyside Park on the Lakeshore. We played in the playground for a little while and Nico was so fascinated with "Cranky the Crane" (the red cranes in the background) we had to get a picture of them all together. We took a long walk along the boardwalk, ate ice cream, watched the ducks, saw a swan and walked along the sand! It was a beautiful day..not too hot and a nice cool breeze! Nico had a great time and didn't want to leave!!

Christmas & New Year's 2007!

Happy New Year!!

It's been a long while since my last post.....wow! Nothing much to say except we've been busy. Nico was in a preschool program two mornings a week from Oct. to the end of Nov. and he did AMAZING! It was an excellent program and he learned so much. His vocabulary improved immensely during the nine week program. He starts another nine week session on Tuesday so we are very excited about that.

Christmas was so much fun this year!!! He was so excited about seeing Santa and GETTING PRESENTS!!!! lol Our visit with Santa was interesting....Nico was thrilled to see him but as soon as we got close enough to sit on his lap Nico said, "NO! No sit on Santa lap." Santa was great, he gave Nico a little flashing button, talked to him a bit and gave him a high five! Once Nico felt a little more comfortable he sat on his lap, but would not SMILE! {The child is never without a smile....so go figure!?!?}

Niagara Falls/MarineLand

Sam, Nico and I went to Niagara Falls on Wednesday. We walked down Clifton Hill and along the path of the Falls. Nico was in AWE!! He loved the "big waterfall"! We enjoyed shopping, playing games, eating pizza and ice cream. Later that evening Sam took Nico for a swim in the pool at the hotel. We woke up early Thursday morning ate a great breakfast at Denny's and headed to MarineLand! We went on a few rides, saw the Whales swim, listened to the Beluga Whales sing and watched them play, we feed the Black Bears and the Deer!! Our day was filled with so much activity and FUN!!!

Picnic at Chinguacousy Park!

Yesterday we went to Chinguacousy Park for a play date with Auntie Karyn and cousins; Sierrah, Riley and Jaxen!! The playground is very cool! The kids had a great time, climbing, sliding, swinging and rocking! We took a walk through the mini petting zoo....so many cute little animals. We splashed around in the wading pool for a little while...fun, fun, fun! Then we sat and enjoyed a yummy picnic lunch!!!!

Day Out With Thomas!!

On Friday Sam, Nico & I drove to St.Thomas (London) to spend the day with Thomas and Friends!!! Nico was soooo excited, as soon as we pulled into the place to park he was shouting, "Oh look, THOMAS!!!!!" Too cute! We didn't know how he was going to react to the larger than life size of Sir Topham Hatt .... he ran right over and could barely wait in line for his turn! He gave Sir Topham Hatt a hug and a high 5! He was so thrilled to sit on the Thomas Train and enjoyed the ride! We had such a GREAT day!!!!
